Sayed Mohammad Faqiri is originally from Afghanistan. He holds a Master’s in Sociology from Osmania University, India, and a Bachelor’s in Education from Herat University, Afghanistan.

Shakila Kajaby is an experienced instructor with over 7 years of expertise teaching English to diverse groups, including refugees. Holding a master’s degree in Gender and Women Studies and a bachelor’s degree in literature and journalism, Shakila is deeply committed to enhancing teaching skills for individuals from varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Shahrine Islam
After-school Instructor

Shahrine Islam was born in Bangladesh and raised in Florida. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Florida Atlantic University before moving to Washington. Over the past ten years, Shahrine has worked in various educational roles across different schools and supplementary education programs. She has taught hundreds of children as a STEM Instructor, helped many young tribal members pursue their GEDs, and tutored students both in-home and virtually, as well as in schools.

Jessie Kimes
After-school Instructor

Jessie Kimes is a passionate educator who teaches English to Multilingual (ML) high school students. She earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in International Affairs from Eastern Washington University and a Master’s in Teaching from Saint Martin’s University. Jessie holds teaching endorsements in English Language Arts, Social Studies, Humanities, English Language Learners (ELL), and Special Education.
